In 2022, Paul Thomas Anderson told the Smartless podcast that he was born in the former Cedars of Lebanon hospital on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The hospital was later sold and converted into a massive Church of Scientology building, and the street nearby was renamed 'L. Ron Hubbard Way."
