Brock is the only protagonist to have been Ash's main traveling companion for more than one series, traveling with him during the Original series (minus the Orange Islands saga), Advanced Generation series and Diamond & Pearl series. As such, Brock has the most appearances out of all of Ash's companions, appearing in a total of 622 episodes (not counting Side story or special episodes) and 13 movies. Conversely, Tracey has the shortest amount of air time of Ash's traveling companions, appearing in only 32 episodes as a main character.
