This series marks Ian McDiarmid's seventh live appearance as The Emperor/Palpatine/Darth Sidious. Previous appearances include Il ritorno dello Jedi (1983), every film of the prequel trilogy, re-released version of L'Impero colpisce ancora (1980) on DVD and Star Wars - L'ascesa di Skywalker (2019). He also voiced the character in Star Wars: Rebels (2014) and hosted Star Wars: A Musical Journey (2005).
