According to the 2022 book, "Reign of Chucky: The True Hollywood Story of a Not So Good Guy," Don Mancini had originally intended to update audiences on Glen and Glenda's whereabouts in Cult of Chucky. As originally scripted, Tiffany was to reveal that Glen had run off with a boyfriend and that Glenda was now in prison. Universal opposed any reference to Seed of Chucky, however, and these lines were cut. Mancini would later change Glen and Glenda's fates in the second season of Chucky.
