Destination Marfa filmed a scene at the actual MARFA LIGHTS observatory deck, and while doing so, the Marfa ghost lights were visible under the Black Texas sky all night. The skies in that part of Texas are known for being some of the best in the United States for astronomy observation due to the low population.
