Cameron Boyce was going to appear in the movie before his death on July 6, 2019. Boyce would have reunited with his former co-stars Peyton List and Karan Brar from Disney Channel's Jessie (2011) and Descendants, as well as his former co-stars from Un weekend da bamboccioni (2010) and Un weekend da bamboccioni 2 (2013). The movie is dedicated to him.
