Real Detective (2016) boasts the highest production budget of any True Crime show, with a production spend just shy of $4m. As its title indicates, this show tries to emulate True Detective (2014), and joins an already busy roster of popular shows such as Manhunters: Fugitive Task Force (2008) or The Devil You Know (2010), which explains its failure.
