Vin Diesel was considering playing the part of Daredevil, but opted for The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) instead. Ironically, in that film, his character, Richard B. Riddick, possesses visual enhancements. Diesel would later go onto playing Groot, a Guardian of the Galaxy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
