The penultimate (second to last) episode of every season except the final is named after a Bruce Springsteen song--season one, "Darkness on the Edge of Town" (from Darkness on the Edge of Town, 1978); season two, "Streets of Fire" (from Darkness on the Edge of Town, 1978); season three, "This Is Your Sword" (from High Hopes, 2014); season four, "Lost in the Flood" (from Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., 1973); season five, "Missing" (from The Essential Bruce Springsteen, 2003); season six, "The Ties That Bind" (from The River, 1980); season seven, "Living Proof" (from Lucky Town, 1992). The penultimate episode of season eight was originally meant to be named "Livin' in the Future" (from Magic, 2007), before it was renamed "Green Arrow and the Canaries."
