This was the last of Louis Calhern's films to be released before his death in May 1956 from a heart attack while filming La casa da tè alla luna d'agosto (1956) in Tokyo. Paul Ford replaced him in the cast of that film. His final film, Alta società (1956), was released about two months after his death.
