Many concepts from the original Transformers (1984) cartoon series make a return, such as the Key to Vector Sigma, the Plasma Energy Chamber, and the Hate Plague. Most of the deactivated Transformer bodies that litter Cybertron were modeled after the Autobot Prowl and the Decepticon Soundwave, likewise from the original show.
