The title of the movie seems to suggest that, like books of the bible, this is the book about Eli (i.e. the book of Job) or the book from Eli (the book of Mathew Mark or Luke) or the book TO Eli (the book or Romans or Ephesians) but in the end it is revealed; it's the book MADE OF Eli as one would say 'a crown OF gold' or a 'chariot OF fire'. In the end, Eli IS the book, it is a book of Eli.
