Isaac Hayes, who voiced Chef, earlier performed the theme to Shaft il detective (1971). The '70s Shaft films are now owned by Warner Bros., while the later sequel, Shaft (2000), was released by Paramount, the two studios who collaborated on South Park - Il film: Più grosso, più lungo & tutto intero (1999).
