In the original script, and the shooting of some scenes, Colonel Kurtz was originally to be called Colonel "Leighley" (this can be seen in bonus materials of "Apocalypse Now Redux" DVD edition). In the movie, when Harrison Ford says the line, "pick up Colonel Kurtz's path at Nu Mung Ba", you can see his mouth does not match the word "Kurtz" (indicating it was dubbed).
