Martin Freeman appeared in Hot Fuzz (2007), which featured cameos by Sir Peter Jackson as "Santa Claus, a.k.a. Father Christmas", Cate Blanchett (Galadriel) as a CSI, and Bill Nighy (who played Samwise Gamgee on BBC Radio) as a Police Officer. He also appeared in L'alba dei morti dementi (2004), also opposite Nighy, as well as Penelope Wilton, who had been married to the previous Bilbo, Sir Ian Holm.
