The car that Brian and Dom "win" in the street race is a light blue Porsche 996 GT3 RS. Sadly, just two years later on November 30, 2013, Paul Walker died in a car accident in which he was a passenger in a Porsche. Two months later, on June 20, 2011, Jackass star Ryan Dunn also died in a car wreck. He crashed into a wooded embankment in Pennsylvania after drinking at a local bar and the Porsche he was driving was similar to the one used in the movie, except that Dunn's car was black.
