To get the ball rolling on the Feral Predator redesign, ADI concept artist Michael Eppinette created a 3D digital sculpture over a scan of suit performer Dane DiLiegro's head. "We worked over the top of [Dane's scan] so we could get it all very accurate," explained Alec Gillis. Director Trachtenberg made it clear that he didn't want a giant head on the Feral Predator. "Dan was very emphatic that he wanted the head to be smaller once unmasked with an elongated, muscular neck," said Gillis. "We worked on how to disguise Dane's head, which was in the neck of the character [which is where] the 3D scanning and design comes in."
