At the end of this film, after Flight 180 explodes, its landing gear crashes into a bar, killing Nathan. According to a news report shown on a TV set that Alex Browning watches in the first Final Destination movie, the majority of the debris of Flight 180 fell into the Atlantic Ocean after it exploded shortly after takeoff from a New York-area airport. Thus, it would appear that the landing gear would be the only piece of debris that fell on land; the fact that it kills Nathan shows the craftiness of Death's designs.
