The "Malloy Twins", played by Casey Affleck and Scott Caan, are named Virgil and Turk, respectively. This is a callback to the villain Virgil "The Turk" Sollozzo from The Godfather. Scott Caan's father, James Caan, played Santino "Sonny" Corleone, whose exchange with Sollozzo led to his father's attempted assassination.
