Dean Stockwell began his career as a child actor in the 1940s. A friend and frequent cast mate was Russ Tamblyn, with whom he remained friends into adulthood. He invited Tamblyn as a guest to a party promoting this film, where he met David Lynch and expressed an interest in working with him. Lynch responded "maybe on my next project," which turned out to be I segreti di Twin Peaks (1990), which Tamblyn appeared in.
