This is the third Disney movie to switch aspect ratios, After Bambi (1942) and Koda, fratello orso (2003). Unlike those films which started off with 1.33:1 and switch to a bigger aspect ratio (1.85:1 in Bambi (1942)'s case and 2.35:1 in Brother Bear (2003)'s case), this movie starts in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio when in animated Andalaysia, and then switches to a ratio of 2.35:1 when Giselle becomes a live-action character.
