The pistol Wesker used was his signature Samurai Edge, which should have been a standard M9 Brigadier, however this is his Resident Evil 5 version which is a Beretta M9A1. This variant of the pistol wasn't released until 2006 as it was updated with an accessory rail which the original didn't have.
