Sondra Locke's character "Lynn Halsey-Taylor" is named after Halsey Taylor, founder of the Halsey Taylor Sanitary Fountain company, est. 1912. In the film, "Lynn" speaks of her intention of opening her own honky tonk, called "Lynn Halsey Taylor's Drinking Fountain". Halsey Taylor still manufactures sanitary drinking fountains, coolers, and bottled-water filling stations nationwide.
