There appears to be no mention of the fact this movie is based on the book by Stephen Knight "Jack the Ripper - The Final Solution", which ingeniously incriminates the British Government of the time (many of them Freemasons, or at least portrayed as such). The evidence Knight introduces is compelling, but of course unproven. Knight wrote, in 1984, a book The Brotherhood, about Freemasonry. He died the following year aged 33.
