After leaving London, the Space Girl (an alien vampire) heads to Yorkshire for uncertain reasons. Yorkshire is a traditional setting for vampire stories. The local city of Whitby was a main setting for the novel "Dracula" (1897), and Yorkshire locations have since been used in several adaptations and spin-offs.
