This film was a terrible experience for Richard Hell, no one knew what they were doing, no complete script was written, just a rough sketch of a storyline. Pages would be written by Ulli Lommel on the day and given to the cast. Lommel would also come up with new plotlines, such as the search for an interview with Andy Warhol, and add new characters out of the blue, such as Suzanna Love's character Lizzy, and Lommel tried to say too many things with so many different messages, which Richard said all gave the movie a disjointed and random feeling since none of the scenes really connected with one another, they were just barely fleshed out ideas put on the screen.
