Around when Season 4 started production, Playmates toys wanted to go in a different direction to attract a younger audience and sell more toys. As a result Season 5 was pushed back alienating the audience who had been following the story arc the show was presenting and the audience didn't get a proper follow up to the Season 4 finale until nearly two years later.
