The law firm at the center of this show has changed names at least10 times. It was originally named "Gordon Schmidt Van Dyke" (in flashbacks). Then Jessica Pearson and Daniel Hardman successfully staged a coup against those three original partners, thus creating "Pearson Hardman," the name it was introduced by in the pilot episode and had throughout the first two seasons. After Hardman was finally ousted by the end of Season 2, the firm merged with Darby International, becoming "Pearson Darby.' Once Harvey Specter was promoted to named partner, it became "Pearson Darby Specter." It was then renamed "Pearson Specter" after the international merger became undone. A few years later, it was renamed again to "Pearson Specter Litt" when Louis Litt became a named partner. Later after Jessica left it changed again to "Zane Specter Litt" when Robert became managing partner and then again to "Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams" when Samatha and Alex were named name partners. Then again to "Specter Litt Wheeler Williams" when Robert was disbarred. In the season's final episode the firm's name is "Litt Wheeler Williams Bennett."
