Jake Cullen's primary firearm is a, Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE), a No. 1 Mk III*, "sporterised" (with fore-end cut down and a telescopic sight fitted to suit sporting use). This was a popular and inexpensive, choice in Australia, where surplus SMLEs, were sold off cheaply in the post WWII period.
