The bulk of the movie was filmed in the Catskill mountains inside a small cabin in the rural town of South Kortright, NY. Since filming took place during the weekends of January and February, the cabin's coldest months of the year, this proved to create very difficult conditions during the exterior shots. It was not uncommon for temperatures, while filming outside, to be as low as -8 degrees Fahrenheit.
