Cate Blanchett plays a character previously voiced by Scarlett Johansson. The two actresses have several other connections as well. Both have appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For Johansson, that included the Iron Man films, the Avengers films, and Captain America: Civil War. All those films feature Tony Start, who is modeled after Howard Hughes. Blanchett appeared in The Aviator, which was about Hughes himself. It also featured Ian Holm and Jude Law, who have played Bilbo Baggins and Dr. John Watson. In Civil War, Johansson appeared with Martin Freeman, who has played both. Blanchett also appeared in Elizabeth. Johansson played the character's aunt, Mary Boleyn, in The Other Boleyn Girl, which featured fellow MCU actors Natalie Portman and Benedict Cumberbatch. Portman appeared in the first two Thor films, while Cumberbatch made a cameo appearance in the third, with Blanchett.
