In the season 8 episode of The Simpsons "Brother From Another Series", David Hyde Pierce voiced Cecil, the younger brother of Sideshow Bob (voiced by Kelsey Grammer), same as how Pierce's character Niles was Grammer's character Frasier's younger brother. Except for plot, the episode was a direct spoof of the show, featuring the brothers spending their time in an upscale apartment drinking wine and a scene introduction with white text on a black back screen, same as after every commercial break on Frasier. To make the joke complete, John Mahoney (who played Martin), voiced the father of Sideshow Bob and Cecil in the season 18 episode "Funeral for a Fiend".
