The film employs a stylized animation similar to Spider-Man: Un nuovo universo (2018) and Troppo cattivi (2022). The filmmakers decided to move away from the realistic animation style employed in Shrek (2001) and Il gatto con gli stivali (2011) in favour of a more creative, larger-than-life style to showcase Puss in Boots's adventure.
