The pretender Russian prince turned California restauranteur mentioned during the psychiatric discussion was Michael Romanoff. He was born in Lithuania as Hershel Geguzin, but famously claimed relation to the deposed Russian royal family. His Los Angeles based restaurant, Romanoff's, was famous for its individual chocolate souffles. The eaterie was in business from 1941 through 1962. And Romanoff never was able to prove his claim to royal blood.
