Series stars Ted Danson and Terry Farrell headed earlier series produced by Paramount Television - Cin cin (1982) and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), respectively. 'Cheers' featured a regular bar patron named "Norm" while 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' featured a regular bar patron at Quark's Bar named "Morn". Farrell's character was killed off to allow her to star on Becker (1998).
