In Season 1, the opening credits featured a narration by James Earl Jones, beginning with, "As many intelligent people know, aliens are all around us", and often continuing with an introduction of the 'background' of each of the main characters. Sometimes, after the introduction, the narration closed with a one-liner (joke). These narrations began in Episode 2 (Una famiglia del terzo tipo: Post-Nasal Dick (1996)). The last one was heard in Episode 20 (Una famiglia del terzo tipo: See Dick Run (1996)) at the end of Season 1.
