The film was originally due to be released in Fall 1994, however there were editing problems with the films original editor who was a friend of Director Damien Harris who had done his short films in the past. So Harris alerted Touchstone Pictures to "rethink" the film and assigned Editor Stuart Pappe to re-edit the film to Harris' satisfaction but delayed the film two to three months and missed the release date window which was presumably, October/November 1994. The film was finally released in January 1995.
