Subhash Ghai was initially thinking to chuck out Jackie Shroff from the film. Jackie was having a hard time performing and could not get his lines straight. This would anger Jackie and he would get very tensed up on the sets. Finally Subhash Ghai called Jackie to his place and told him to ease up. Sunhash said he signed Jackie because he saw a certain aggression on his face. Subhash told Jackie he still believed in him. Jackie slowly started to let go of his insecurities and act better in the film.
