Danny Cooksey (Sam) and Dana Plato (Kimberly) maintained a close friendship following Diff'rent Strokes' cancellation, as their birthdays were five days apart (as Plato was nearly 11 years older). Cooksey also served as a pallbearer for Plato's funeral.
