The same year as this film's release, a TV movie called New Eden (1994) aired on the Sci-fi Channel. The film has similar plot to that of No Escape (1994).The TV movie is about prisoners whom are dumped on a desert planet and they find themselves fighting for survival against the nomadic sand people.
