The Joker's various clothes in this film are based on the clothes he wore in the Batman comics. The tuxedo and white gloves come from The Killing Joke (1988) and Death in the Family (1988), the white coat and purple shirt comes from Dark Knight Returns (1986), the Joker's brown waistcoat comes from Joker (2008).
