When Owen first arrives at the raptor paddock halfway through the film, his raptors can be heard snarling and honking in frustration as they're roughly handled into the ready-cages by Hoskins' team. If you listen closely after Owen punches Hoskins and warns him away from his animals, the raptors can be heard making much happier sounds in the background. They know their alpha is there and that he's going to stop what's happening to them.
