This is the first theatrical released computer-animated sequel and the first one from Disney/Pixar not to be designated the same MPA rating as its predecessor, i.e., Alla ricerca di Nemo (2003) was rated G but Finding Dory is rated PG, and it is Pixar's sixth film to have that rating. The other five films with that rating being: Gli Incredibili - Una 'normale' famiglia di supereroi (2004), Up (2009), Ribelle: The Brave (2012), Inside Out (2015) and Il viaggio di Arlo (2015).
