While Dominion will round out a trilogy of films that began in 2015 with Jurassic World (2015), an interview with Frank Marshall revealed that Dominion will be the beginning of a "new era", hinting at further sequels as a result of Fallen Kingdom's ending so in a way Jurassic World: Dominion will not be the end of the Franchise and will be the beginning of a New Era. In 2022 Jurassic World Dominion is suppose to be The Epic Conclusion of The Jurassic Era and it concludes the second film trilogy and the storyline that began in the original trilogy, although Marshall has not ruled out the possibility of future films. In January 2022, he said "we're going to sit down, and we're going to see what the future is".
