The movie, which is partially set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and filmed there, world premiered on August 22, 2016, one day after the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games had ended on August 21, 2016, with its major American release being on August 28, 2016, one week after the games closed. The picture predominantly debuted in most territories during late August and early September 2016, just prior to the start of the 2016 Rio Paralympic Summer Games, which started on September 7, 2016.
