The events of the series take place after Stitch! The movie (2003) but after Lilo & Stitch 2 (2005). This is confirmed by the fact that in Lilo & Stitch 2 only Stitch is adapting to not being evil and because no other experiment or gantu or hamstervil appears in the film.
