This is the fifth collaboration between James Gunn (the director of the film) and Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.). They had previously worked together on Slither (2006), Super - Attento crimine!!! (2010), Guardiani della Galassia (2014) and the brothers Gunn web series PG Porn (2008).
