At the Domo ship, Ikaris is reading a green tablet, which he later gives to Druig (who then charms Makkari with it). This tablet is the Emerald Tablet, a legendary Hellenistic text written by Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus ("Hermes the Thrice-Greatest"), a mythological figure who was a fusion of the Egyptian god Thoth, the Greek god Hermes and the Roman god Mercury, and whom Makkari may have inspired in the film.As a tribute to the Egyptian connection, Lauren Ridloff's credit is set alongside ancient Egyptian art.
