Majel Barrett-Roddenberry was unable to make a cameo as Lwaxana Troi for the wedding scene. Gene Roddenberry's widow was busy working on the television series Andromeda (2000), of which Majel was the executive producer. Gene Roddenberry created the series, and came up with the idea for the series in the 1970s, but the series did not get made or hit television screens until nine years after his death in 1991.
