Though most of the effect of the show are computer generated, physical props were also used for a select few shots that required detailed interaction between prehistoric animals and real environments. Many of these effects were done by Crawley Creatures, the UK-based special effect company who had also worked on Nel mondo dei dinosauri (1999).
